Dr. Arthur L. Eberting graduated from Missouri Southern State College in 1980 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and with minors in both Chemistry and Psychology.
In 1983, after successfully meeting the certification requirements of both the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and Missouri State Board of Chiropractic Examiners, Dr. Eberting graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College with a Doctorate of Chiropractic. While attending Cleveland Chiropractic College, Dr. Eberting received Board certification hours specializing in physical therapy and was also successful in assisting in the establishment of a new research department at the college, which is in continuance today. While attending Cleveland Chiropractic College, Dr. Eberting was a member of Beta Chi Ro honorary fraternity.
In 1983, Dr. Eberting received the honorable status of “Fellow” with the International Academy of Clinical Acupuncture by successfully completing 50 hours of training and education. In 1995, he completed 100 hours earning him a second fellowship with the Acupuncture Society of America and an additional 100 hours of advanced training in Acupuncture; completion of these hours is certified through the ASA. The acupuncture education included additional information pertaining to Oriental medicine, including the use of herbs in the treatment of disease and pain. Dr. Eberting offers a successful acupuncture treatment program to treat addictions such as tobacco, narcotics, and food. In 1998-99 Dr. Eberting successfully completed a pilot treatment program with Pathways Behavioral treatment center in the treatment of drug and alcohol addiction. Dr. Eberting has also been through an in-depth study of classical Chinese acupuncture for the treatment of chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and sciatica. He is licensed through the State of Missouri as a board-certified practitioner able to practice the art and science of meridian therapy, acupressure and acupuncture.
In addition, Dr. Eberting has also completed additional hours in training and education specializing in spinal disability and impairment rating sponsored through the Texas Chiropractic College. Dr. Eberting attends a minimum of 24 hours annual postgraduate relicensing education that includes radiology, diagnosis, sports medicine, emergency medicine and acupuncture.
Dr. Eberting received his certification in 1993 for the science of analysis and the process of performing surface scanning spinal EMG. EMG - Electromyography performed by Dr. Eberting is computer-assisted surface scanning method first developed by N.A.S.A. for scientific research involving the space program. It is a procedure conducted without the use of needles and provides valuable information about electrical activity as it pertains to the nerves of the spine. Educational credits in electro-myographical analysis were earned through the Life College of Chiropractic.
Dr. Eberting is a member of the Missouri Chiropractic Physicians Association and the Area Five Chiropractic Association of Missouri. He was elected to serve as a testing physician for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners in 2009. Twice a year he will attend and help to administer two days of testing for students graduating from Chiropractic colleges nationwide. These are mandatory exams to practice in all states in the Union.
Dr. Eberting has been actively involved in various community organizations in past years. In 1987, he was on the Board of Directors of the Sunrise Optimist Club. In 1988, he served as the President of the Clinton Chamber of Commerce. He also served on the Clinton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors from 1986 to 1989. He is currently a member of the benevolent order of the Elks.
Dr. Eberting served as a professor of anatomy at the State Fair Community College.
Dr. Eberting has been practicing in Clinton since 1983 and is a second-generation chiropractor. Dr. Art practiced with his father until 2005 when his father retired. His father began practicing in 1960. Dr. Eberting and his wife Debbie have two children, Emily and Scott. The Eberting family has lived on a small farm just south of Clinton for nearly 30 years.
The Eberting Chiropractic clinic in the 1980’s successfully fought for the right of Veterans to have access of Chiropractic care. With the help of Congressmen Ike Skelton Dr. Eberting was the first Chiropractor to be included as a treating physician in the national VA health system and our clinic the first to treat and receive reimbursement for the treatment of disabled veterans.
The Eberting Chiropractic Clinic is located at 207 South Main in the historic downtown district of Clinton, Missouri. The clinic is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. We provide many services as they pertain to the natural healing arts including chiropractic, acupuncture, and adjunctive healing utilizing physiotherapy, hydromassage, homeopathy, vitamins and herbs. Appointments are encouraged, and new patients are welcome.
